Shining Hour Entertainment is casting "The Lesson," a dramatic short to be shot on location in Tokyo with the RED Camera. Shooting is scheduled for late June 2010.
When an English-challenged student seeks guidance about affairs of the heart, his romantically jaded teacher must teach him the words she never learned how to say.
1. Caucasian female, mid-40s, attractive, for the role of Ms. Worthington. British accent preferred but not essential.
2. Japanese male, mid-40s~60s, for the role of Mr. Sato. Fluency in English is NOT required, but actor must be able to perform dialogue in English (with Japanese accent) and be able to understand directions in English. Must not be afraid to be emotional in front of the camera.
Ms. Worthington is a romantically jaded woman who has been teaching English in Japan for far too long. She has a broken heart from which she has never quite recovered.
Mr. Sato is a typical Japanese businessman who struggles to speak English. He has a deep secret which he has decided to share with Ms. Worthington.
